Muno began writing creatively at about 12 years old and by 14, encouraged by her teachers at Fir Vale School, was producing poetry in the English language and winning school competitions. One of her poems about the Iraq war also won a prize in an American Competition.

Cleethorpes here we come

Saturday 23rd August was the annual Burngreave New Deal for Communities Seaside Trip to Cleethorpes. There were five coaches with 218 Burngreave residents (115 adults and 103 children) made up of grandparents, parents, children, aunties, uncles and cousins, together with all the kit and caboodle that goes with a day trip to the seaside – prams, bags, car seats and cooler bags.

I am a resident in Burngreave who has seen major changes in the area, not only from an employment perspective but also environmentally. Burngreave has in the past been seen as a ‘no go area’ but recently improvements have placed it on the Sheffield map. Bonfire night in Burngreave

Bonfire night was celebrated magnificently here in Burngreave on the 3rd November at Petre Street as a small fair ended with spectacular fireworks taking place on the field. There was a great turnout considering the cold weather, with approximately 150-200 people.
