Local residents arrested over Chesterfield Road murder

Eight people, including two women from Burngreave, have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder after a man was killed on Chesterfield Road.

Nawajid Ali Khan, 31, had been working at a takeaway on Chesterfield Road when he was knocked over and killed by a Vauxhall Frontera.

The women, aged 28 and 23, are expected to appear before Sheffield Magistrates at a later date. They remain in custody awaiting the outcome of this initial hearing.
